• UK's number one online baby shop enables its customers to shop without a credit card
• Prepaid voucher Cash-Ticket is available in over 20,000 outlets throughout the UK
London/Vienna 7th May 2009 - Kiddicare, the UK's most popular online baby products retailer, has now expanded its options for online payments by teaming up with the renowned alternative online payment provider paysafecard group. The move comes following high demand from customers looking for an alternative to using credit cards on the Internet. With the prepaid voucher Cash-Ticket, Kiddicare customers now have access to a solution which is as simple, fast and safe as paying by cash.
Scott Weavers-Wright, partner at Kiddicare, explains how the economic downturn has led to a growing number of requests from shoppers seeking an alternative online payment method. "It's very apt that we should be able to offer the ability for customers to pay with cash in the current climate," says Weavers-Wright. "If customers don't want a credit card, they shouldn't be penalised and they should have the option for other payment. We get about 500 calls and 400 emails a day asking: 'Is there an alternative payment?' and it's definitely increasing," he adds.
The paysafecard group has already proved that there's a high demand for its prepaid services, having successfully provided online payment solutions for 16 European countries. "We are delighted to have cemented this association with Kiddicare," expresses David Hunter, the UK CEO of the paysafecard group. "The fact that the UK's number one online supplier of baby products and accessories will be using Cash-Ticket proves that the demand for easy and, more importantly, safe online payment methods is getting bigger."
The voucher can be purchased at one of 20,000 outlets all over the UK and provides a 16 digit pin code which can be used online quickly and securely. Users can keep track of their balance and transactions online. The vouchers are available in denominations of £10, £25, £50 and £100. Up to ten vouchers can be used at once for larger payments. Buying a Cash-Ticket incurs a one-off activation fee of £2 for the consumer, regardless of how much credit is purchased, there are no hidden costs or extra charges.
